Hi C-talkers,

We are looking for two more cartographers to participate in the NACIS Map-Off in Madison.

The Map-Off is an event in which we ask a bunch of different mapmakers to make a map of a particular place using the same data sets. The resulting unique but anonymous map designs are lovingly critiqued by a live audience at the NACIS conference, after which the mapmakers reveal and defend themselves. Nat Case and I are co-hosts this year and we've changed the format a bit to give it that certain Wisconsin Edge. We think everyone will find it to be a fun event and hopefully also learn something new about map design.

But we need two more of you to make it happen.

Why should you participate? Because the Map-Off is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, show your work, and get involved in NACIS. Plus Lou will buy you drinks.

If you think you might be interested, please contact either me (pearce@ohio.edu) or Nat (ncase@hedbergmaps.com) today and we will give you all the details!
